Still On The Hill

ozarkinfolk duo

Toucan Jam is an imaginary voyage around the world using elements gleaned from library books, colorful handmade ethnic costumes and amazing mechanical puppets made from wood, cloth, levers, gears & pulleys. Each visit to a new culture brings exciting stories, legends and songs about ‘winged things.' Toucan Jam is famous for the exotic instruments they play from each of the 6 continents visited on this whirlwind tour around the globe.

This program is educational with it’s geographical references but at the same time, thoroughly entertaining with a healthy dose of silly humor! Add in superb musicianship skills, lots of interaction and you’ve got a riveting show that can keep kids K-5 mesmerized for a full 50 minutes.

Toucan Jam is time-tested, for almost 2 decades, Kelly & Donna honed this energetic performance to magical perfection-kids, teachers, librarians and parents all give Toucan Jam a big THUMBS UP time after time.

Toucan Jam’s  debut CD- A World of Music, is the proud recipient of the Parents' Choice Approved Award (2006) and Best New Artist in the Children's Music Web Award (2006).

Kelly & Donna Mulhollan of Toucan Jam, are experienced birders. They have been teaching Ornithology at Halberg Audubon Ecology Camp for over a decade every summer to 11 & 12 year olds.

This workshop is conducted in the classroom for 3rd-5th graders. It is an educational, fun-filled ‘Birding 101’.  The workshop teaches about feathers, eggs, and includes an extensive collection of nests given to the duo by Arkansas’s foremost Ornithologist, Joe Neal.  Each student will receive a Toucan Jam Field Guide with 12 of the most common backyard birds.

Our young concert audience had a truly enjoyable time, not only delighting in the program but in the exquisite talent with which it was performed! This program enriched our season!

My opinion is that Toucan Jam was the most popular program of our season. It was my personal favorite since it so effectively combined both education and entertainment. The costumes gave it visual appear, while the songs, stories and narrations were stimulating.
— Hal Hubener, Director Monroe Regional Library, Helena, AR
I am writing to recommend Toucan Jam to other audiences such as ours. The children in our elementary school could not have enjoyed them more. I found them easy to communicate with during the booking process, relaxed about the payment process, and very personable people as well.

They traveled very early in the morning in order to arrive at school in time to see our Morning Assembly and showed a real interest in the children. Their show was first-rate, using instruments, songs, costumes and dance to express the wonderful diversity of our world. There is nothing about the show that I would want to see different.

In brief, I would recommend Toucan Jam to any audience. The time they spent here was very pleasurable for all of us.
