Termite Tracs

Termite Tracs is our home studio where we recorded Chaos & Calm, Redwings and many other CD's. It's more than a recording studio ... it's our 'romper room' ... the walls are lined with all sorts of exotic instruments and fun percussion toys. It's a place where we can tinker, experiment and play with sound. The name was coined by Emily Kaitz after horrendous repeated 'termite blooms'. The studio was made possible by a loan/trade with Ann and Curtis Yates, whom we can never thank enough!

Jori Costello

"Homegrown"

This CD features Jori's outstanding voice & solid guitar. Kelly added lead work on various instruments, including electric guitar leads (Yes, electric!) It's a mix of Jori's originals & obscure songs she has made 'her own'. Lot's of magic!

Mack Harness

"The Pursuit of Happiness"

Really great songwriting from Mack. This was recorded on Kelly's old 4 track reel to reel but finished on the Termite Tracs setup. Kelly adds raw, soulful lead work and Donna makes an appearance on fiddle. I LOVE this CD!

Nick Masullo

"Some Kind of Sign"

Nick is a powerful singer/songwriter with a most original voice. Half of the cuts on this CD were recorded at Termite Tracs with the help of many Fayetteville musicians (Phil Lancaster, Susan Shore and Donna Henschell.) On "More Than I Used To" Kelly plays twin mandolins and Keith Grimwood from Trout Fishing in America does astounding twin bowed bass. I'd check this CD out- samples available to hear at cdbaby.com. This album was produced by Emily Kaitz. nmasullo@aol.com

Emily Kaitz

"Twang, Twang, Twang"

Superb songwriting and wry wit. Emily is one of the only songwriters that has the ability to make you laugh and cry at the same time. Check out the cut, "Stranger On My Own Home Page" to experience this for yourself. 5 cuts were recorded at Termite Tracs. One song is actually about Kelly and Termite Tracs Recording Studio (it's become their theme song.) Emily is an absolute treasure! She has many other CD's available, check her out on: Cdbaby.com emilykaitz@hotmail.com

Geoff Oelsner

"Morning Branches"

This is a must have for any music lover! Every song is solid and substantial. Geoff's voice is wonderful, he sings with such emotional intensity. He plays solid rhythm guitar, mountain dulcimer and shares vocal harmonies with his wife Leslie. Kelly produced this CD and it shows. His creativity is woven into each and every piece with a myriad of instruments and style. The poetry that is laced through out this work sets it apart from other CD's in texture and tone. A highlight is a tribute to the Sufi poet, Rumi, with Keith Grimwood (Trout Fishing in America) on bowed bass. Donna Henschell added fiddle to a cut as well. Contact: greenwater@aol.com

Flip & Kelly

"Self Titled"

Kelly has been doing a "house" gig at the infamous Angler's Inn with his buddy Flip Puthoff for 11 years and counting. They don't get too serious, just good ole fun 'front porch pickin'. The duo does an 'Anglers' gig every month or two and packs the place. It's become quite a tradition. Flip is a real 'salt of the earth' kind of guy and Kelly loves to play music with him. This CD is a collector's item, for sure! Use the 'Contact Us' page for more information.

Ann Yates

"White River Crossing"

Ann is the finest songwriter of Arkansas Historical songs that we know of. Her songs document the headwaters region of the White River. Kelly played all the music for this project along with Donna on the fiddle. This collection is an absolute jewel and the songs sound as if they were written long ago. A 'must have' for fans of traditional music.

Efron White

"A Day in the Sun"

Efron has a distinctive gravely voice and super solid songwriting. The musical credits reads like a 'who's who' of the Fayetteville music scene, Keith Grimwood & Ezra Idlet, Drew Pierce & Emily Kaitz (producer), Susan Shore, Phil Lancaster & Alison Moore, John Johnston, and of course Kelly & Donna (to name a few). A wonderful collection of great songs. Hear it and buy it at cdbaby.com. Contact Efron at fronwhite@aol.com

Peter Wilde

"Hold Me Up to the Light"

This is a double tribute CD to one of Still on the Hill's favorite songwriters. He hails from Eugene, Oregon and is quite a legend that area. Kelly & Donna recorded one of Pete's upbeat songs called "Green & Yellow" for this compilation. They went 'all out' with the production, including all sorts of music boxes and children's wind up toys and the hottest fiddle solo Donna has ever recorded!
